Has anyone here stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park.
We are palnning a short trip into NY and are considering staying there.
Looks like a great place for a short trip away from home. Any info would be appreciated.

We were there a couple years ago and liked it very much.  Easy access to the Falls, and parking at Niagara Falls State Park ($10) is free if your camping in a NY State Park.  From Niagara Falls State Park, it's an easy walk across the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side of the Falls.  They have fireworks on 2 different nights of the week, I forget which nights.  Check it out online.

The campground itself had generously sized sites but was very open.  IIRC we had a site with electric only.  We could fill our water tank from a spigot just across the street from us.  There's a Fort nearby, it was interesting to explore.  Again, free parking with the camping ticket.

We had an enjoyable time, we would camp here again if we returned to Niagara Falls.

We have done Four Mile Creek several times and like it very much. We used it as a base camp for a trip over to http://www.zooz.ca/ for a Classic Albums Live concert then a trip up to visit Mom and Dad in Guelph. The 200 loop is nice and has some waterfront sites with a nice view(if weather is clear) of Toronto.

We were there last year over the 4th of July. It is a great park. Sites are good size. They have decent bathrooms/showers and some laundry facilities.  What is nice, the back road takes you right into the Niagara Falls area. Much less traffic. Make sure you take some time and tour Fort Niagara. It was really interesting. Your FMC park pass also gets you into 5 other state parks in the area including free parking at the Falls. Make sure you make time to take the Maid of the Mist Tour. Well worth it.

Lewiston is a quaint little town nearby and Aunt Alices downtown has the best chicken wings in the area.

We had a great trip.

We camped there for a week about 4 years ago. We still talk about going back. The sites are grassy and the view of the lake is wonderful. Newar our site was a grove of trees and blackberry bushes. The berries were ripe the week we were there and I made pancakes with them- also pie iron pies and a berry syrup.

With the park pass we got free parking near the bridge. We parked our tv and walked over the bridge and into Canada. The kids loved that!
