Been putting off buying tires....and then today scored a pair of new 5.30-12 Load Range C's on new 5 lug wheels. $50 for the pair.  I'll keep my OE tan 4 lug wheels and put the 5 lugs back on CL.

Where do you get your tires? I got mine at the place across from Smart 'N' Final, but I can't remember the price now. Probably tried to put it out of my mind.

I stopped going to that place after I watched "employees" taking used weights out of the 5 gallon lead weight trash buckets, bending the tangs, and pounding them back onto customer's new tires.....and then scrubbing them with a brass bristle brush to make them look shiny and new.  That, and having all the camber adjustment bolts left loose on a truck I had aligned, going back and complaining, and then watching them "redo" the $70 alignment using a carpenter's tape measure, instead of their alignment machine.

The "new" tires I have now came off the '83 Starcraft camp trailer that was free on Craigslist (it's now my flatbed utility trailer wearing my camper's old tires).  So now for next year, I'll pop on these "new" tires that I just picked up.

That trailer was such a score. I KNEW you'd have the scoop on the tire stores, since you seem good at researching things and finding good deals. Thanks for the info. Yikes. Glad I asked!
