Hi all,

We hope to get out in the trailer this fall and winter.  Jason is asking to go to Dogwood in the rain.

Since AzusaTeach posted about her non- trailer trip I'll do so as well.

Yesterday I finished a 15 day camping trip.  No popping up though.  Only covered 220 miles.  It was all on my two little feet- I hiked the entire John Muir Trail from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney.  Slept out every night with beautiful starry skies.

See you soon, presuming we can squeeze into one of the upcoming rallies.

can't wait till the kids are old enough to hike.  Hopefully I will still have the legs to go.

I hear a wagonmaster for a dogwood RALLY!!

15 mile days for 15 consecutive days.  That's a pretty vigorous hike.  How heavy was your pack?  How many days of food did you carry at any given time?  Neat trip.  Congratulations on your endurance!

I got up to 21.5 miles in 2 days myself earlier this summer.  Found out I have torn cartilage in my right knee.  Just barely managed to make it through the second day and couldn't walk at all on the third.  Will resume hiking once I get it dealt with.

I could say they're being developed but of course I took digital.  Mostly yesterday I slept all day and filled the washer with mud from my very few clothes.  I got two very small blisters in the first few days which were gone long before the trip was over.

15 miles a day average on flat ground would have been cake, but up and down 11,000 to 14,000 foot mountains every day did take some effort.  I'll write up a full report soon and post the link here.
