What time do you usually arrive to a rally?

Just wondering what the general arrival time is for most people is.  Like if the rally starts on Friday do you get there before dark or after dark?  Do you fight traffic and take off work early?  What about the kiddos who are in school?

In the past we've had a hard time arriving on Fridays because of traffic, having to work and school not getting out until after 2:30pm.

Taking off to many Fridays or even working half day gets really old with DH's boss so its hard for us to plan these things for Friday arrival.  Do you ever set-up after its dark?

I always arrive as soon as possible.  It depends on who is going and how far away it is.:)

We usually leave friday as soon as I get ome from work.  Usually around 4.  I am a teacher, so I get out at 3.  We like to try to get there before it gets dark, but that doesn't always happen.  Its harder to back in and set up in the dark...

with our group it can be anytime. For me I would take my kids outta school and go Thurs nite but things have changed. Last year DS started HS so taking him out wasn't an option. This year DD is at a new school and it's much larger than the last so I don't have as much "pull".  for me every rally is different.
Like Rileys farms, won't be leaving until bout 4:00-ish. I have to have DH help  me with this one start to finish. Halloween -Since there will be SCCampers there if I need help, I'm going up Thurs afternoon with DD. She has a min. day Friday. The boys will come up Friday afternoon.

you won't be the only leaving after work and if it's dark there always a SCCamper there with flashlights :D

Lke Dee said, there always flashlights. Somebody will hold your beer for you...:) and we will be glad to lend a hand...drinking the beer of course...:), no, seriously, there is always someone to help you out. Just ask...:):):)

Thanks for all the feedback!!!

So for those of you that do wait till your off of work and the kiddos are out of school.......... do you also wait till the traffic dies down or do you just fight your way through it?

Would you rather sit in traffic to get there before dark OR wait till it dies down and get there late?

I leave as soon as I get home or have DH bring the kids to where I work and leave from work.  I leave from work when work is closer to the campground.  If the campground is closer to home I go home after work and then leave as soon as I change.:)

as far as traffic hmmm that's a tough one. I guess it depends on which way I'm going. here's my thinking leave at 5pm sit in traffic arrive at 8pm or leave at 7pm arrive at 8pm

Sorry but I got pulled over for speeding on our like second or third trip with the trailer, that was enough for me.  I push it to 65 sometimes, but thats it...
