"LittleOldMan"

Hello" My name is "LittleOldMan"  I have just finished reading all the posts on the General section I will soon start on the Mr Fix it section.  About thirty four years ago I had access to a Coleman valley forge camped from Al to Maine and back the next year camped to the Grand Canyon Tetons Yellowstone and back.  I do powwows and Native American Festivals.  To old and fat to change pants in a camper shell any more. Been looking for a good used unit but I am patient one will come.  TV is a Dakota 3.9 v six magnum.  Bumper states 200 pound tongue wt 2000 trailer wt.  Have a bolt to the frame receiver type hitch, not on yet.  First question to this most knowledgeable group.  Please define class 1, class 2, and class 3 hitches.  Believe that this TV could tow most any PU.  Understand that tyranny cooler may have to be added.  Please advise.  This is a great site full of info that I can use thank you..  "LittleOldMan"

Good luck

Thanks;  Can see difference.  If I bolt on a receiver type hitch about how much will it increase the tow wt.  I don't plan to pull anything but a PU though.  Will I be okay.  "LittleOldMan"

The vehicles; owner's manual is a good place for that information, specific to the year, make, model and options. And how full you pack the truck (people & cargo)

Bumpers are usually too high to pull a PU anywhere close to level (my preference)
