I have a Coleman Cottonwood that I would like to lift a few inches.  Last outing I bent the steps and a stabilizer due to rocks and poor road conditions.  I hunt and would like more options on camping spots without the worry of damaging the camper.  Anyone know of a lift kit or other thoughts on gaining a few inches of clearance?  Will sway or stability be a bigger issue?  (No issue now).

Some people do an, "axle flip". Do a search in our "Simple Search" section.

It shouldn't effect sway and stability. If your PU rides level now, it may ride with the tongue slightly down after being raised. If anything, that would make it sway less, not more. If you are riding with the tongue down now, you may have to get a different receiver to adjust the tongue height. It's best to ride level.

What about going to a larger tire and/or rim? What size tires and rims are on it now? What type of suspension? If it is leaf, can longer shackles be added to each end?

Dexter axle has a couple of kits - "Overslung / Underslung Conversion Kits"

Trailer Height Adjustment

Called an Axle Flip by some, but actually the axle stays and the springs are moved from under to over, adding a few inches of clearance. Different sping hangers is an option.

This was done to my "new to me" 2005 Niagara.  I am trying to attach a picture, not sure if it is working.
