I just wanted to mention to anyone thinking about camping at Emma Woods SB to NOT reserve site #20 or #21. We just got back from Emma Woods SB and we were NOT happy with our site. It should be posted on Reserve America that sites #20 & #21 will get wet from the sea spray or that there is a possiblity of waves breaking over your vehicles at high tide and that it does NOT matter what time of the year it is. We took our BRAND NEW travel trailer and were very upset when high tide hit and we had waves breaking over the top of our large travel trailer. It also scared the heck out of me. We talked to the front gate and they could have cared less about it! Very upsetting!:(

WOW !!  Thanks for the warning !!

What a scary thing to happen....maybe the front gate didn't get exactly what you were saying.  I see a lawsuit in the parks future if someones toddler gets washed away during high tide.  :(

Very scary indeed I would have packed up and left........Thanks for the warning.....:yikes:

Wow! Thats really dangerous not to mention an unacceptable camping spot!  I'm not sure if you have small children or pets but that can be really dangerous.  Thanks for the warning... are you able to leave feedback on reserve america for something like that?

I tried to let ReserveAmerica know about this and there response was:
Thank you for using ReserveAmerica for your camping needs. It is my pleasure to assist you today.

I am sorry you had a problem with your site at this park. The park would need to request we put this type of alert on these sites.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Thank you,
Terry
ReserveAmerica

Why would the Park need to make the request when their help(volunteers) didn't give a hoot! :compumad: I posted this because I didn't want to see someone else go through a similar experience. It was scary! :yikes: I would go back to this park, obviously NOT in the same spot. The rest of the time (NOT HIGH TIDE) we had a lovely stay.

On a lighter note... we met some people from San Diego in Pop Up hybrids and told them about SCCampers. They were really nice and we know how Dee enjoys fresh blood!:p

So you warned them to stay away, right.
