DD was really doing some deep thinking this season ... rather than the "usual" gifts that I'll hang in the closet or stuff into a dresser drawer ... she arranged for me to take the Starcraft over to my local tire guru where she has already paid for a new set of tires! Was planning on doing that in the springtime anyway.

Well, I'm pleased. She had to put some thought into this as I've never mentioned anything to her about tires.

Hey Dale,
Don't ya just love it when people, especially kin folks, use their heads and give you a gift that you can really use?.. Remember back when we were young fellers and neck ties were the gift of choice when folks could'nt figure out what else to give the male gender?... I must of had half a closet full and finally gave them to a neighbor lady who was making rugs out of them....

I hear ya, Bill ... had a closet full of them ties, too!
When I got rid of all mine, there were some I had never worn!

Say "hello" to Aunt Magnolia" for me ... maybe we can meet up again sometime in the springtime ... (I really need help carrying that canoe these days!)

We be looking for'ard to a meet'n in the spring...Aunt Magnolia sez she'll fire up the galley oven in our TT and bake one of her specialties for the occasion... Maybe your lifting days, like mine, are about over and perhaps its time to think about installing a set of retractable wheels on the canoe. A hand crank up/down set like the Grumman Goose has would do the trick. Cranking instead of lifting would certainly be a lot easier on the ole back....
