Hey everyone.
Wife bought me an E3 for our anniversary. This is our 2nd pup and needless to say we've really enjoyed it.

Who else is from the central Texas area?

Congrats on the new PUP!  We live in Leander.  Already planning trips to Inks Lake, Guadalupe River Park and maybe Rio Frio..Garner State Park.  Where do you like to PUP in Texas?  We love to try new places!!!

So far most of my trips have been down to the coast, Goose Island State Park. I do alot of coastal kayak fishing so this really saves $$ in hotels. Granger Lake is also a nice place to camp and of course...Bastrop.

I'm about to start planning the trips for this year. I've heard great things about Guadalupe River Park so that will be on the list. Inks Lake is close so I can guarantee it will be on the list as well.
Garner State Park we probably won't take the pup because my family has a ranch there so we can just stay in the house. The Frio flows right through it also.

We stay down at Port A at the Pioneer campground sometimes, the mosquitos get bad around the lagoons, which sometimes puts a damper on outdoor evening activities, but we enjoy the coast.  Lucky you with the ranch at the Frio. That area seems so untouched, I hope it doesn't get too developed, like everywhere around here. We've camped at Lost Pines? in Bastrop, it was a wet and dreary weekend, but that was before the PUP. Nothing gets us down now!

Pioneer in Port A...I heard that place gets pretty cramped. A neighbor of mine said there's a place a little further down the road he likes to go to. I've never been to Pioneer but he compared the two like this: Pioneer is the place you can go and drink beer all night. _______ down the road is a place you can go to relax and let your kids run around because it's not as cramped.

Wish I could remember the name of the other park.
Just booked a trip over Spring Break to Guadalupe River Resort in Kerrville. I've heard a lot of good things about it.
