Awning Pole Needed

I have a 94 Starcraft.  This past summer we damaged one of the awning poles during a horrific rainstorm in Arkansas.  The horizontal pole got bent pretty bad due to the weight of the water.

The pole is a "spring type" with a point on the end to stab into the vertical poles with an "eyelet" on their ends.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement pole?   Starcraft or another source?

Thank you.

I would start by calling Starcraft, or the manufacturer of the awning.  Could yours be repaired if you cut off the special ends and had them MIG welded to a new length of thin walled tubing, like electrical conduit?

I've looked with no luck.
My rafters are the 'spring type'.

I've looked for a new eccentric (the black plastic disk that locks the vertical poles when twisted) and replacement pole. Have not found anyone that sells the poles or parts  :(

Good luck making do or in finding a replacement.

That's a good idea Austin but it wouldn't have to be welded. A couple of pop-rivets and a can of white spray paint would do the trick.... :sombraro:

I replaced one of my wind-bent awning poles by taking off the ends and attaching them to an adjustable painters pole I got from Home Depot for about $10. The pole size was just about a perfect match. I removed the screw on end where the paint roller would go and put on the old awning tip. I got the idea from others on the forums that have done the same repair. The drop-down pole and the rafter pole come with one half of the main front section. The two front sections are pop riveted to make the front piece the awning attaches to. To go cheap on a "factory" rebuild, contact all area dealers who handle the Trimline awnings and see if they've replaced an awning that has torn and would be willing to sell (or give) you the aluminum frame or the poles.
That's how I fixed mine.
