I have a very noisy Sureflo Water pump, which is mounted above the fresh water tank,on a piece of 1x4"plywood.This produces lots of vibration and noise.Doesnt appear to have much room to mount to floor.Any ideas would be appreciated, maybe some type of block insulation????

Can you post a pic of the area?

Sureflo makes a water pump Silencing Kit  that helps a lot and if you have an old mouse pad, use that between the mounting screws and the plywood. that should help with the vibrations.

Heres what I do. I never fasten a water pump down and let it "float" on a cushion such as a piece of foam rubber or thick carpet. The inlet and outlet hoses will hold it in place. The pump in my present trailer is located on the floor between the water tank and filter which are under the queen bed. It is not fastened down and sits on two 8"X 8" pieces of thick pile carpet. There is very little noise and any vibrations are absorbed by the hoses instead of being transferred into the floor if it were fastened down.

Thanks for all the suggestions...After all this rain, will check and try to use foam, carpet under pump, and maybe try to move to floor rather than above the tank.........Jim
