Quote from: waveryOH!!!!! I'm very pokable..... :p  and you're right. Most all small parts are made in other countries.

Toyota does employ American workers and are part of the solution for the "Big 2 1/2" getting rid of the UAW so that they can compete in the market place.

I like to plug Ford because I bought stock in it a couple months ago  :U . I'm buying GM soon....missed it by a penny today. When GM breaks the back of the UAW (which is what this is all about) that stock will hit $20-$40 in 2-4 years. That'll put one of the grandkids through college.

Oh, I agree!  It cost Toyota something like $160 out of every car sold for employee costs such as wages and pensions, GM, almost $5000.  There is no way you can be competative with that kind of overhead!  It is hard to believe that in 2008, GM and Toyota sold almost the same number of vehicles, and look at which one made money.

I looked very hard at the Ford F250 diesel and the GMC Sierra 2500 HD and almost went with the Sierra.  I just couldn't cough up the extra $10,000 that it woudl have cost me over the Tundra.  Now, you can get them for a song.  Oh well...

I still would like that diesel with the Allison tranny!

Quote from: dkutzGuess who now owns 55% of Chrysler???  YIKES!!  What were they thinking???
Trust me..........that's all part of the overall plan of busting the UAW......just sit back and watch the BK negotiations between Chrysler-BK and the UAW.......That will set the president for GM and Ford without GM or Ford being the bad guys.

BK for Chrysler is a no brainer good thing.

The bottom line is more workers will keep their jobs but they will be making less (but that's better than "$0"). This is the only option for the survival of the US economy.

Quote from: ronerjonesWell I finally made up my mind and ended up with a bit more than I origionally planned on getting, I have always heard bigger is better. Traded in the tired Tundra V6 with 160,000 miles on it for the all American Ford F-150. The back end of the Tundra used to drop 3" when I hooked up the Ford doesn't budge. More power, bigger truck (the kids have more room in back now), better gas mileage WOW.

Not quite sure if the picture is going to post, if it does heres the new truck with camper in tow.

Great looking truck!  I'm sure that you'll enjoy it.  We upgraded from a 4Runner to a 2008 F150 last year and love it!  The truck is very stable and powerful.

Like Chrysler, the union and the goverment, with CEO Obama in charge, will own a good chunk of GM...You will have a much better chance of puting your grand kid through college by playing the horses......

Thank you for chosing an American made truck and a Ford!
I have an 08 Mountaineer with the 4.6L V8 and the 6 speed trans(6R80).
I love it!
Have to check the mirrors to make sure the popup is really back there.

Congrats on your new TV!  That is a great truck. You will enjoy towing your camper.  We had one for years and we towed our Utah with no problems.
