Ok so I maybe shouldn't pos this, but I am so excited to get the site back that I can't help it.

We are trying to find a spot to stay for a couple nights nearby that doesn't cost a fortune.  either June 27, 28 or July 10th weekend.  Can't find anything.  What are my chances of finding a cancelation?

We have checked all the beach sites (good luck) Dogwood, Guajome, campland (too $$)

Any other ideas?

I know we waited too long, but I tried earlier and got no interest from the DW until now...

Santee Lakes - try to get a spot close to the pool and playground - very nice!!!  (but it will be warm - fair warning...)

We are staying in King City County Park.......it will be warm but the park is Full of very large trees and the guy on the phone said getting in is not a problem......Only about an hour to hour and half to Smithwoods give or take...

We are staying at Lopez Lake on the July 10th and 11th and have an extra spot at this point.  I have asked some of our friends but they have not quite responded yet.

We actually like Campland, but we have three young boys, and like the programs they offer.  But is defineatly not a place to go to relax and get close to nature.  Also not cheap, which is why we passed on it this time.  Off season is ok, and with a group is always better.
