Hopefully someone can help...imagine this...

There is a front storage compartment on the trailer.  The metal bed support post was not correctly attached under the bed.  So as the bed was being pushed in, the post was sliding along the top of the storage compartment and being pushed into the ABS piece on the front wall.  A couple of really good pushes and the ABS broke before we found out why the bed wasn't going in.

So......how do you fix the ABS piece.  It's all there, just cracked straight through, no pieces missing.  Anyone have any ideas?

hoppy

Drill a small hole at each end of the crack to stop the crack from spreading, and then fill the crack and the holes with MEK.
 Good as new.

If it's ABS, you can just put ABS glue on each side of the break and hold the pieces together for 30-seconds. ABS glue is not really "Glue" in the traditional sense. It is a chemical that melts the surface of the ABS plastic. As the plastic hardens it again becomes 1 piece.

Now, having said that, if the piece that you are repairing is very thin, it may be best to get another piece of ABS to "Glue" onto the repair (out of sight) for backing. That should make it as strong as new.

Can't help you with the roof but your post should hel others to remember one very important pop-up rule - Don't force anything! If it does not go smoothly, stop and see why not. Many people have ripped a hole in the tenting by doing this. Hope you find a fix
