I always knew that my love of camping came from enjoying it since I was a teen. So if you start someone camping any earlier, will they enjoy it even more? My guess is yes, so we took our 3 day old granddaughter to the camp for a few hours this weekend. She enjoyed the late afternoon sun, and the early evening campfire with us.
Here is the proud grandma holding her behind our pup.

Congrats on the grand daughter!!

I've been camping with our kids since they were babies (pic below is 8 years ago).  Started out in a tent, then graduated to a pup, then back to a tent, then back to a pup, etc...

I hope it keeps them interested in camping.  Eldest is 13 now, and so far she still enjoys it.

All of our children slept in a tent before their first birthday.

Only one does not camp today, and that is because her husband has a disease that attacks his joints and he simply can not sleep on the ground.  I see a pop-up in their future. :p

Congrats on the new grandbaby.....may there be many more.

Our kids all were camping from the first days of their lives. We camped (and still do) a lot.

We have 4 kids that love camping and 1 that doesn't care one way or the other.:U

You even beat us! We took Jessie at 3 weeks of age, but it was in 105 degree/humid weather. Miserable weather, but we went!

Awww thats very cute!  I always wanted to camp with my kiddos when they were babes.... but once they start walking it gets really hard to keep up after them.... its A LOT of work!  I like it when they are about 3.5 - 4 years old and can actually listen to rules :p

We started ours out early and they seem to still enjoy camping one more then the other one.  All our 7 grandkids love to camp so enjoy that sweet little girl and camp whenever you can get out.....

My boys started tent camping when they were in diapers. They were hooked from their first camping trip.

Wow, what a young looking Grandma. I still can't believe that's Grandma. We started taking our DD before she was a year old.

Hey Mary ~ that's what I was going to say ... she doesn't look like the grandma!!

My youngest was about 2 weeks old the first time she went to a campground (and her siblings were (almost) 1, 3 and 6).  Their first real trip was a year later.  75% of them are still fans :D

Thanks everyone. I'll let grandma know she looks too young. She always says her love of camping comes from being conceived in a pop up. ;)

Congratulations on your new grandchild!

My boys have been camping since they were little, they are now 12 & 14 and enjoy our camping trips.  We started taking our nephews, now 18 & 20, when they were toddlers.  They are now both in college and tell us that they wish that academics and work schedules left them more weekends free to camp!
