water damage rapaired....but

We saw a spot of daylight under the cabinet. Crawed underneath and we have more damage than we thought. The bottom of the storage box in the front of the pop up has rot. I've gone thru 100 pages of the Mr. Fixit forum and found good suggestions on repair. Our question is, can the box be removed completly to repair or do we leave it on and replace  flooring with it on?? The rest of the camper is in excellant shape.

I don't know what make your trailer is but I would think it would be easier to work on the bottom with the storage box removed. That way, I think, you would be able to replace the bottom in one piece instead of maybe several pieces if the box is left on. It depends on how easy it would be to get access to all the fasrenings.
 I recently helped a friend replace the bottom in a Coleman Bayside storage trunk. We were able to replace the bottom in two pieces with out removing the trunk, which would have involved removing cabinets and paneling in the front of the trailer in order to get to it's side fastenings. The job took up most of a Saturday and a sixpack of Yuengling brown pop...
