I have two very small holes in the canvas on my '96 Coleman Sun Valley.  Can anyone suggest the best method of repair?

how  big are the holes?

If the holes are very small (under ~1/4" diam), you can put a dab of silicone sealer on the tip of your finger and fill the hole (Let it dry for 24 hours). Larger than that, you may want to try "Iron on" patches.

I recently used some tan colored iron-on patches, cut to the size I wanted (for an '83 Starcraft) and they worked great.  Some I did with the canvas removed because I was also having some sewing repairs done, and others I did with the canvas in place.

where do you get the iron on patches ? I just ripped the fabric on my slide out today while setting it up to air out.

The previous owners of my camper plugged the camper in before it was popped up.  The light bulb on one side was "on" and burned 3 or 4 nice holes in the canvas.  They duct taped it, and it held for quite some time, so I just left it.  Well, one stormy night ... you guessed it -- we got wet.

So I tried the canvas patch with the glue -- it didn't stick.  And I tried sewing .. yeah, right.  With more rain coming in?  At the CG?  Nope!

Gorilla tape.  Black, stickier than anything you'll ever find.  Been holding strong since I put it on.  And since it's black and has gotten hot - I don't think it'll ever come off.  :)

Iron on patches at the local fabric store. Twill I think it's called.

Use 2. One inside and one outside. Have someone hold a piece of wood on the opposite side while ironing. Worked great for us.

I used Tear-Aid from Cabelas on my canvas and it has worked great for three years now. I highly recommend it has not leaked yet.
