I found this cool Dual Golf Cart Battery Box and I thought that I should share. I just got it and it is amazing for the price of $50 (Incl S&H). 2, Trojan T105, 6V golf cart batteries fit in this box perfectly, end-to-end. They also have them that fit side-by-side for the same price.

I hate having the batteries in 2 seperate boxes, straped to the tongue brace with nylon straps. I can permenantly mount this box and then hinge the lid and install a padlock hasp. It will make servicing the batteries a lot easier and it looks so much nicer.

Looks like it comes with a lid.  Dimensions and weights are with and without lid.

$50 for 6.5 lbs of plastic . . . . . . . but it's the best deal I have seen for them.

Yep!!! Comes with a nice thick lid (not "Dual lids":p)......That's one of the reasons that I bought it. My DW stands on top of the battery boxes when we wash the trailer and when she helps me mount our solar panels.

If it were a kids toy made out of the same amount of plastic, it would cost $10.........:(

I received my new battery box today. It took about an hour to get it all mounted. Now I just have to get a S/S piano hinge and a hasp for the lid and I'm done. Oh ya.....I've gotta get a shorter Neg cable for hooking the 2 batteries together also...

The bottom of the box is ribbed but there were no drain holes in it. I drilled 3, 1/4" drain holes in each end. When I took out my old battery boxes, they each had about 1" of water in the bottom.......yuk.

This box makes the whole front of the trailer look so much cleaner. I love it....:D

This battery box is really intended for indoor use. I just spent a couple hours sealing up the cable access holes in this box to make it suitable for outdoor use. Those big gaping cable access holes would be a real problem if it rains or even when washing the trailer.

I am now completely finished with this project and I have a lot more time invested than I had anticipated.

If anyone else buys this box for tongue mounting, I would suggest that you devise your strategy for sealing up those big holes and hinging the box (if that's your desire) before mounting the box. Once the box is mounted, it's a back breaking job to work on it.

As always, Wayne, your installation looks first rate. Very nice job.
