Well, I was supposed to check-out of TTO on Wednesday, and head for TTPR down in Wauchula, had everything buttoned up and ready to go, all I had to do was put in the slides and hook-up. The front side went almost all the way in, stopped dead in it's tracks 2 inches short though, and that was it, neither slide (they both work off of one hydraulic pump) wouldn't budge in either direction. As time closed in on check-out time, I went to the office and extended my stay for 7 days (and sub-sequentially canceled 1 week at TTPR). Thanks to my TT membership, I can buy an extra week twice per year for $29.

Took a few hours, but figured out what went wrong with the pump motor. Using jumper cables I was able to get the front slide back out, then went over the entire system with my test light until I found one part of a 12V buss bar was not getting voltage, and that was the part that fed the relay to the pump. Jumped to that end of the buss bar and that got my slides working again. All I have to do is move that one connection so it's on a hot lead somewhere and I should be good to go! Good thing I'm pretty good at figuring this stuff out. I had already called a guy I know that works on this stuff to come out when I was at the office, but called him back to cancel.

You lucky camper. That's an issue I'd have to pay someone to fix. And finding electrical problems is time consuming.
So are you going to have to jump it every time now? That would be a PITA.

Not going to have to jump it, just relocate that one connection to a hot line somewhere, or directly to the battery. I think I can just hook it up to a different part of the same bus bar. It's not like that pump uses a lot of power, it's 12v with a 10amp fuse. I'm going to work on that tomorrow. I wound up driving to TTPR today so I could pick up a package that I had shipped there (since I was supposed to be there). They would have held it until next week, but it was my new T-Mobile 5G Home Internet tower.

Glad I did too, was struggling with my 2 current internet connections, my AT&T router and my T-Mobile phone as a hot spot. They were working, but early evening it was *S*L*O*W* due to congestion. By 9pm or so it would speed up and work fine (both systems). Have no clue why this thing works so much better than my phone, but it's unlimited data where the phone is limited to 5 gigs of data. Got the equipment for free, got a permanent $20 per month discount on it as long as I maintain the auto pay ($30 per month total cost). I'm hoping to kill off the AT&T (50 Gig at $35/month) and kill off the Dish Satellite ($80/month). I can stream mainstream TV on Philo or Sling. Overall, will cost me less.

That's good you can jump a hot wire to that bus bar. Hope that solution works.

I've been using the T-Mobile internet for just over a year. It is fast and reliable although there have been a few slow times, mostly early morning. Just upgraded my phone and qualified for that $20 discount on auto pay. I thought that would be the perfect internet for RV folks, but they don't want you taking your home unit camping. People have done it from what I read, but T-Mobile has threatened to cut off service on a couple folks.

As for the bus bar, it has 4 connection points and that includes the lead from the battery, but one of the points doesn't have any power to it. Moving it should be simple enough.

As for moving around with my "Home Internet" I told them right up front I live in an RV, and I move around with it. They didn't seem to object to that. I could also make the case that the RV as my home, it's still "home internet" where ever I'm parked. I know others that have it in their RV and move around, summer up north and winter here in Florida.

I was looking into making the jump to Starlink, and that's still not out of the question. But until I get working again then I can't afford to do it right this minute. We'll see how this works out for now, at only $30 per month I think I can afford it. I'm going to keep the AT&T alive for now too, at least until after I move north. Want to see which one works better in the various places I stay at going north & south. Besides, if I cancel the AT&T I'll lose my grandfathered $35 per month plan, and if try to reactivate it I'll be paying $55 instead.
