RE: Bear Den Campground-Spruce Pine, NC

Has anyone visited this campgound?  The brochure from Bear Den campgound looks great!  I would like to go there & to Gem Mountian to let my little boy pan for rocks.  If anyone has any advice about this campground & can recommend a good site to pick, I would appreciate it.

We haven t been there, but some of our friends have and they liked the place. I think that they stayed near the back of the CG by a creek. From the photos I ve seen the place was well wooded. The sites were graveled, but some off level. Didn t look like a bad place.
