tlhdocWhoo Hoo the board is up sort of!!!

 Time to talk trip.

For those that I didn t get in contact with, that ordered tee shirts I have them.  I am going to wash and dry them, except for the ones that asked me not to.

I can t wait to see everyone on Friday.

DiW

HersheyGirlGetting in the mood for our trip to HR. There are 2 bears that won t leave our neighborhood alone, getting into everyone s trash cans, annoying the kids at the bus stop and getting people s pets (people really shouldn t leave rabbits outside in cages in this part of NJ). Glad to hear HR has changed their trash bins. See everyone soon.

HersheyGirlI am hoping to get to the park before sunset, so that I can set up with some light, DH will arrive later, as he has to work late.  My DSister will be coming too...STSTRONGZ, please welcome her as she has just moved to PA from KS and has not camped at all this year!  Her name is Sara.  She is also a bit worried about the bears too.  Can t wait to see everyone.[8D][8D][8D]

HersheyGirlRaymond is sick and jeffrey has an ear infection, so there is the chance I may be winging this one by myself (hello Truckstop on 80 at 309).

Donna (who borrowed the Jayco for RJ Ranch) has been hinting about going, but of course, she has no money and 3 kids. I have been trying to talk her into going to Westmoreland since she lives about 25 miles as the crow flys.

If Raymond does come, it will not be until Saturday AM. I am hoping to stay well so I can make it (last year at Eagle s Peak, I did not realize I was sick until I started sweating on Sunday AM and the fever broke and all of a sudden the joints quit hurting and I suddenly felt better, did not even know I had a fever) and have a good time.

 HersheyGirlPaula,
WildWildQuest posted on PUX that Westmorland SP was closed due to damage from the hurricaine.  I wonder if some of the folks who were going there, will join us up at HR.[8D][8D][8D]

copcarguy

HersheyGirlHello all!!  Just so everyone will recognize us...  We won t have any copcars on this trip (sorry, no lights & sirens like last time) [&:] and we ll be bringing our F-250 Powerstroke CrewCab.  Can t wait to see everyone there!  We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

DiW:  let Chris know we traded in the Ranger and we re picking up an  03 Ford E-250 van Thursday at 10am as our new TV.  You can t tow with a new truck till it has 500 miles (that s what Ford says) so that s the reason we re bringing the " big truck" .  I ll fill him in at the campfire...  [:D][;)]

DiW

copcarguyOh goody, another night of guys talking vehicles [:D]. Actually, I m used to it. Chris has been that way since college so no wonder you two hit it off. I ll hang out with Steph [:D] I m sure we can find something to talk about, esp if Courtney s around. BTW Rick, you may find me in the copcar this trip. It should help me get  Kelsey to her Sunday soccer game on time [;)].

I saw that after I posted.  I am not up to Donna and the 3 kids, she does not have a camp stove (borrowed ours and did not return it to cook on at RJ Ranch as the gas lines were eatten by critters, had to retrieve the stove every time I wanted to cook, they coul get the dog and the cage and other dog accessories needed for a puppy, but could not get a camp stove...), nor flash lights or a dishpan, she has one small cooler (lent her a couple of ours for RJ Ranch), she obessessed over no hot water, because they left then lost the coffeemaker/water heater. I have had to buy a new one. She does not have a heater, Told them to bring one to RJ Rancj, ended up having to get them one at the yard sale Lablover had. She is not ready to go camping without us supporting her fiancially and logistically (her husband will not let her buy anything since she can " borrow"  it from us if they tag along. . That is more than I can do right now.
Tim5055 is going somewhere near Lorton VA, and others are inquiring. With the exception of WWQ (Willow Grove PA), most live a lot closer to Westmoreland than HR, so I do not expect many to migrate northward. WWQ needs a dog site.

copcarguyWhitestar had a pet site and then canceled.  I don t know if it would still be available now or not.  I think it was site 209.

jstaddwtr I am so glad you are coming!  If you need any help when you get there just let me know.  It doesn t take us too long to set up.  We are going to tarp the whole camper[:D], but other than that it shouldn t take us too long.

jstaddwtr

copcarguyThank you all for your kindness and welcome!!

The kids were just told of our plans and everybody is excited!![:D]
Let us know if there is somthing we can bring!  Once again ....a big Thanks![:D][:)]

tlhdoc

copcarguyIf you want to join us for the pot luck dinner, just bring something that 1. taste good[:D] and 2. you are willing to make.  There is a separate thread for the pot luck dinner.  You can post what you want to bring over there.

DiW

 copcarguyjstaddwtr,
So glad you ll be joining us.  Just beware, it s usually lousy weather when this group gets together. We just don t let it get to us (actually my teens whine a little but the 10yo doesn t complain; it s no worse than her soccer games in the pouring rain). As for being cold, just bring extra blankets. Some of us have our down booties all ready and Rick makes an awesome fire [;)]. Do you have a furnace?
 Diane

copcarguy

 copcarguyHello all!!

jstaddwtr - WELCOME!!  It will be nice to meet you!  You re more than welcome to come visit our site.  Like DiW said, I usually am the one with the campfire...  (I m Rick)  Feel free to click on the webshots link under my profile to " put faces with names" .  Also try looking at tlhdoc s webshots link.  Hope that ll give you a head start!  [:)]  Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

copcarguyjstaddwtr, a ceramic heater heated the Jayco nicely, saw some small heaters at Lowes on Sunday. I supplement the Bantam s furnace with one (saves gas).

I am planning on bringing bottled water left over from our supplies from Isabel and my (new, replacement) 32 cup coffee make for hot water (I guess you can see I really still am a lettle upset over the other one being left on the carport and then absconded by some unknown person(s)). I cannot drain my 20 gallon holding tank well enough to really fill it up and be safe the next time it is filled (still has about a gallon of antifreeze in it from las fall) so I will be heating water in the coffee maker for dishes and instant stuff.

I am staying home from work today, hoping to feel better tomorrow, yes Raymond shared his flu with me so I hurt all over and really should get me something to eat and drink and go back to bed. If I feel this bad in the morning, I will be canceling, don t think I can back the trailer (hurts to move) and then set up would be fun [:o] too. But then this is the Bantam, I can just leave the table in and sleep on that and not open it up until Raymond and Jeffrey got there to help. No hoses and the plug in is easy enough, the " water heater" /coffee maker plugs in, drop the awning, put out the mat, possibly pull out the microwave, plug up the cooler, in the truck...hey I think I might be able to do this...
