debbiedee1957We will have a pot luck dinner and campfire Saturday night.  I will start a new thread for the dinner.  In the past Friday night has been a little busy with most people arriving.  If anyone wants a group fire at their site Friday they are welcome to volunteer.  Other wise it will be people wandering around and meeting each other.  One thing everyone should see at Hickory Run is the boulder field.  It is really neat.  For Saturday night I thought we would look the sites over and see where it will work the best.  Last year we carried a few picnic tables to one site, and we returned them in the morning.[:D]  If anyone has any other suggestions don t be shy, just ask away.

debbiedee1957Tracy, you might go over to NE campers in PUX, Adam is curious about tee shirts.
I have not posted the covered dish over there yet, either.

debbiedee1957LOL Paula still have the two from Tall Pines you gave me.... Lisa ? Not unless I have air and a bathroom aboard the pop-up !  I think  in year or two we will move up from the Rockwood to Jayco 12FSO with all the amenties needed for my princess, till then it s just going to be me and Brandon !

 Adam from Central NJ !

debbiedee1957Not sure how many of us there are, but if the group gets too big to manage at someone s site, we could always chip in a dollar or two each and get a site for Sat night for the dinner and campfire (I think a site is $17 for PA residents - PA SP has no reservation fee like through R).

Tracy, remember when we were on 262 & 264 and that group of tenters were behind us. They had made the center site the " group"  site for meals, etc. They sang their prayers or something. It was definitely different.

debbiedee1957Dee from NY posted that she was bringing a dish, but there does not seem to be a campsite listed for her and hubby. Dee, which site are you going to park your travelstar on? It will be good to see you all again!

dee106

dee106how bad are the bears there?[:(] was talking to Don and he said you had problems!

copcarguy

dee106Hey dee106 - click on the webshots link under my profile and then click on the " Hickory Run"  section...  There are some pics of the bears that visited the COTOC group when we were there in June 2002.  We were never " bothered"  by the bears, but they were there and came close a few times.  We were very careful about food storage / cooking / and lingering smells.  We had a big pot and wooden spoon handy at all times to make some noise to scare them away.  I can t believe that " Hickory Run Part 3"  is a month away already.  Hope to see you there!  [:)]
