RE: what s your favorite camping breakfast?

Love to cook bacon outside..smells good makes camping neighbors hungry!  Then we whip up some pancakes, brew some coffee, have a glass of OJ and sit around the fire and eat!

I have to agree with campingcop that coffee definitely comes first.  After that two of my favorite breakfasts have been with the NNC group: a veggie frittata (made by sammyslave) and Ableskeevers (made by Hybrid Holly).  When gsm x2 and I camp by ourselves we like bacon and blueberry pancakes or oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar if it is a really cold morning.

bacon and pancakes I guess.....didn t know there were other options [8D] oh yeah we eat a lot of cereal (hard to cook bacon and pancakes while camping for 15-20 people so we don t have it everyday while camping)

As Bearnkat said, coffee first!
 
 Last year I would have said pancakes with lots of butter and syrup.  As I started the Adkins diet at the end of last years camping season I guess this year it will be sausage & eggs.

Toast with lots of fresh fruit salad. Hot coffee one pot please. Maybe a piece or two of bacon, prefer canadian back bacon. Please hold everything till at least half that pot of coffee is gone. DH and the kids vary dh one cup of coffee, eggs, bacon and toast. dd#1 leftovers from last night and water to drink.. dd#2 just a pancake with syrup and a glass of juice.  Breakfast is the hardest in our house because no two people like the same thing.

Breakfast tacos- yummm!
 Rob cooks up some scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese then scoops a bit onto a flour tortilla then pours on some salsa then you roll it up and eat.  Good stuff!

 However, when I m not in training, it s good, STRONG coffee, sausage or bacon, eggs, french toast, home fries, pancakes, bicuits and country gravy, or even potatoe cakes with turkey gravy. I guess I don t really care so long as I m camping. Kinda makes everything taste a little better. []

Well, we are both on low carb diets so our favorite breakfast is omelets.  DH likes, a couple different cheeses, ham and sausage in his and I like ham and bacon.  Hot coffee with heavy cream, yumm.  I prepare all the ingredients at home and put in zip lock bags.  Re-heat in the toaster oven.  Fix a batch of sausage or bacon for our side dish and then make the omelets.
