NightOwlCountry...of course (old and new).  Irish folk music (there s a pub about 40 miles from us we go to every once in a while with the Lesbian Body Guards that has live music on weekends.  One weekend was this guy in a kilt...and Lori found out " what they wear  neath them kilts"  (he flashed her)), and Enya.  Cann t really get back into the rock from my hs days..cept The Eagles.  Logan has been listenning to rock and roll more and more...and I find myself yelling a lot..." turn that stuff down" .  Ayup..turning into my father.

I wouldn t say its my favorite kind of music, I have different favorites, but we just saw the movie " O brother where art thou"  and went out and bought the soundtrack. If anybody else has heard this you know what I m talkin about, traditional country brought back to life by this movie, and now I cant get some of those songs out of my head.

Right on!  I had to get the CD as well and rumor has it there is a sequal to that movie coming soon.  The Dixie Chick s new CD Home has a strong O Brother flavour to it as well.  Just the other night I was watching some 80 year old on PBS who I m sure was a kid when that mountain/folk/country/twangy music or what ever the heck it is was being developed.  I love it!

fivegonefishing

fivegonefishingI try not omit any type of genre.  I love country, jazz, soul, pop, classical, instrumental, folk, rock, rap, disco, the irish rovers, punk, opera, circ du solie, christmas, storey telling (remember Red Sovien) what ever.

Garth, Patsy and Bach have all brought tears to my eyes.

[font=" Comic Sans MS" ]I have pretty eclectic taste in music too.  I love the music from the Cirque Du Soleil.  Nothing beats experiencing it live but listening to the music is the next best thing.  I also love Irish rock, latin rock and a lot of the new stuff they play on the pop/rock stations.  During our New Years camping trip I listened to: Shakira, Fiona Apple, Crash Test Dummies, Dave Matthews and Paula Cole.
