I have just ordered a Jayco Qwest 12A and asked the dealer if a bike rack could be installed and they indicated that they cannot find one that can be installed permanently only a temporary one.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I want a 2 bike rack. I will carry 2 on the back of my pick up but on occasion I need to carry 4, therefore the need to carry 2 additional ones on the PU.

Joe BuskirkJoe, when you say they couldn t find a permanent one are you talking on the roof or what? As for roof mounts many manufacturers offer " permanent"  roof racks like Thule, Yakima, and many others, that can haul bikes, canoes, luggage carriers depending on what acessories you add to the main cross bars.

I had requested roof mounted bike rake for the P/U.  The brackets would be permanently mounted.  I am surprised that the Jayco dealer can t find suitable bike racks.

Joe BuskirkJoe, I sincerly hope you don t need warranty work down the road. The dealer sounds like he couldn t empty a boot with the directions on the heel.
