  Enjoyed reading about your trip. Gives me " warm fuzzies"  reading about all the GREAT people and nice things they do here on PUT. Even though most are " strangers"  feels like we are all friends.

The trip report was good.  Your border crossing reminds me of what a different world we live in today.  As some of you may know, I have relatives in Canada.... in fact my parents were both born in Canada and moved to America (Florida) right after they married..... I remember one trip when we went up to Montreal to visit my Aunt and Uncle and we were stopped at the border on the way back into the US.  I don t remember the exact rule, but I think that you either couldn t bring Canadian beer into the US or that there was a limit to how much you could bring back into the US.  Anyway, my dad had a six-pack too much and I remember my dad said, " If I can t bring it into the US, can we just drink it here?" ....... That s exactly what they did.... the borderpatrol guard and my dad polished off the six pack right there..... It must have been in the mid-1960 s....
