Miller TymeI like to cheer for Dale Jr, Rusty, and Michael Waltrip...but if there was a last lap fight to the checkers I would like to see Johnny Benson cross the line first.[:)]

Gone-Camping

Miller TymeIn my business (NASCAR writer) I have to like ALL of them!

That being said, I do favor anyone that drives a Ford. I m a Bill Elliott fan from way back, and like Jarrett, Jeff Burton, and a host of others. I also was Richard Petty fan for years, but saying that really gives away my age...

They still have NASCAR? I thought racing ended at the  Daytona 500 a couple of years ago, now its just not racing anymore, drivers just do laps and play " who s your buddy today"  for the last 3 laps. BORING!

Lee I keep telling you that there are other sports besides Hockey.  See I didn t lie to you.  Some people here like NASCAR.[;)]

I don t have a favorite driver.  I will not say any more.

Miller TymeMy favorite driver? Gee, can you guess?[;)]

Bobby Labonte is my #1 favorite; Terry is #1-1/2! (Don t want to call him #2.)

Ol  DW was my first favorite...watched him and Dale Earnhardt fight all night long for the lead at the 1st WC race I ever attended--the 1985 Busch 500 at Bristol. Dale ended up winning finally. (When your first race is the Bristol night race, you re guaranteed to be immediately hooked!)

I like most of the drivers, although there are a few I m not too crazy about.

I was tickled to see Johnny Benson finally get his 1st win this past season. I got a chance to talk to Johnny for about an hour or so a couple of years ago. From seeing him on TV, I always thought he would be a really nice person. He was even nicer than I thought he would be!

Love to watch Johnny, Mikey, and Kenny on Inside Winston Cup!

Since this is a camping forum, here s a little piece of NASCAR/camping trivia! We ve been camping at Bristol for the last several years (even though I only live about an hour away). We used to camp in the unreserved Dragway tent camping area. They also have a lot of reserved camping in the Dragway area that s just for campers since it s all either asphalt or gravel. Kenny Schrader s mom usually camps in the Dragway with us " regular"  folks. Sometimes Kenny rides his motorcycle over to visit her! She has a big motorhome, which you could recognize by the big yellow M&M in the window! LOL!! (Guess she ll have to change that this year. [:(]

Giffster

Miller TymeFastest man ever in NASCAR of course...........Bill Elliott (even though he s in a Dodge now [: (])

 Cheers

 Miller TymeTony Stewart!
 2002 was a great year!

If Stewarts not in the hunt... Dale Jarret or Mark Martin.

Miller TymeWell since Dale Earnhardt is no longer with us, any body driving a DEI car.
Dale jr.  Michael Waltrip, and Steve Park!!!!

Miller TymeI am a die hard Jeff Gordon fan!  I have always liked him since he came to the cup circuit. I was a little disappointed at how he is handling things with his marriage though.  In contrast to Gone Camping, I don t like Fords, but these are the things that make the world go around.  I also like Bill Elliott as a driver, I think he is a class act.  I used to like DW before he retired, but I absolutely have NO USE for Rusty Wallace, " I"  think he should retire.  So just like all things (religion and politics) it s the differences and the personal likes and dislikes that make the world go around.[:D][:D]

I wish all the drivers a good and safe 2003, come on Daytona!!!!!!

 Happy Campin  <><

Miller TymeAs you can see by my name, y all know who I like.  Unfortunately, I am not that much into racing anymore since Dale died.  I still go to the races but it is definitely not the same without Dale.  I also like Tony Stewart because he reminds me of Dale Sr.  I absolutely cannot stand Jeff Gordon (if you ever listened to him on a scanner you would understand why)!  It was nice to see Benson win a race, the next person I want to see win one is Steve Park and Kenny Schraeder.  I hope he gets himself into a decent ride this year.  If you want to see what a race fan I am, check out my website and see how I have my seasonal site decorated.  I am told that it is the most original one that the campground has ever seen.

Now you are really aging yourself...lol.  I must say that the races were more fun back in the 60 sand 70 s.
