Okay, it was obvious from one of the other threads that there are a few more of the more mature crowd here than might be expected.

 So here is my question:

Do you know of any businesses that give senior citizen discounts, what the senior age is and any special restrictions.

I did have an Ames card and you had to be 55 or older and the discounts were only on Tuesdays.  Ames is now out of business.  I believe it was 10%.

The part that seems to vary the most is the age.

Hershey Park gives a discount to seniors at 55 for admission.  Reg. Admission was $35.95 but (being a senior) I can t remember if the senior admission was $15.95 or $19.95.

Just thought I could save a dollar here or there, I might be able to camp another day.

GeneFKmart has a senior day, it includes a mid-day bingo.
Hometown BUffet/Old Country has a senior card, I think it is 60.
Bob s Big Boy gives a Senior discount, I think that is 60 too.
Dorney Park in Allentown PA did have a senior rate that was equal to the small child rate, last time we went.

DE and PA SPs do if you have or qualify for the Golden Age Pass from the Feds, as well as Federal Parks.

If you are going out west check the Federal Website. I think it is 62, but could be 60, entrance into Federal Parks/Army Corps is free, camping is half price.

For my extra nights at the Rally, AAPR is honored at RJ Ranch.

The best thing you can do is ask wherever you go, the worst they will tell you is that they do not give a senior discount, and maybe you will save some money.

GeneFFlorida State Parks give 50% off to all seniors over 65. I can t wait till my dad is 65 in October, then we can camp twice as long for the same price.

 colleen1017Hi Blanchards,

I wouldn t want to bet my life on it but I think Florida SP s only gives discounts to Florida residents who are senior citizens.
