The Overmans

There I was last night, watching my Popup 101 video in preperation of going camping this weekend.  The video started talking about  axial weights, gross trailer weights and so forth.  AND THEN THE PANIC HIT ME!!!!  So I started adding up the weight of the awning, extra gas cylinder, battery, 4 person bike rack with bikes, and I thought I can t throw anything in the trailer!!!!  What do you do about this?  Supposedly, the manual says I get 600+ pounds.  But That seems to go rather quickly when you add the above mentioned items.  Where do you go to weigh the trailer etc....

 HELP!!!!!

The OvermansPretty much any truck stop should be able to help you out.  I would suggest a Sunday morning since they are slow then.

The OvermansBob is correct, any truck stop can help you out.

The OvermansWe went to our local landfill. For the price of a plate of homemade cookies, they did all the weights including with and without the Reese 350 being hooked up. It was 7 weights total.

The OvermansI think we first weighed ours at the rock quarry in town. We have weighed it at truck stops on at least 3 trips, when we were fully loaded for vacations (so it was realistic and had everyone with us). Was higher than we wanted (although below the max) when we had my mom along (since that made 6 people) and all their stuff. Now when we bring guests, we take along an extra car. Weighing it doesn t take too long. Once when the truck stop was crowded, we just left and went to the next one.
