RE: Dumb question we should have asked sooner....

 We are picking up our PopUp tomorrow, and we re wondering how much space it is going to take up when it is FOLDED (1999 Starcraft Spacestar).  The Starcraft Website says 17 9" , which seems longer than we remember when we saw it.... now if it IS 17 9" , we are going to have quite a time storing it!  Can anyone PLEASE tell us the TRUE length of a Starcraft PopUp when folded?  Is 17 9"  REALLY it?  WHEW!!

I have a Coleman Sun Valley that is 17 feet when closed, and that s bumber to hitch, so 17  9"  sounds about right.  Our camper is 25 feet from bunk end to bunk end when fully open and bunks extended.

The length sounds about right to me.  Do you have a brochure?  It should have the length listed.

I just went out and measured our 2000 Spacestar.  It s approx. (sorry bout the approximate, but DH is at work so I was doing it myself) 18 foot from bumper to end of hitch.
 
 Storing it in the garage is not an option for us, lol - just too big.  Although it s in our driveway right now, normally it lives in a cheap, dirt floor storage shed.  So far, so good!

Miss-Teri - THANK YOU for going out and measuring for me!  That is what we LOVE about the people here - always willing to go the extra mile to help!  My dh just brought it home, and he THINKS it will fit in our garage.  We ll see!  We may camp out in it tonight.

we had that unit, it does fit in a standard garage but with only two inches on each side to spare, its a very very tight fit, u can t have anything in the garage, at least not in the one we used! watch the step! make sure it s all the way in!!! [] make sure your prefectly lined up before backing up, its white knickle time for the driver, and holding your breath while you watching it! []
