SuezyqueWow...I think I paid the most for ours (and still paying...1 year to go).  $9000 for the MotherShip when I bought it new.  Course I didn t know any better, and didn t know about this board, or I would have bought a used one.

DBGCAMP

SuezyqueWe bought our 90 Alta last fall for  $1700.
The camper was in excellent condition ... very clean, and had wintered indoors.
We wanted a small box that had a convinent layout.
DW and I have decided that when the Alta gets to be to small for the four of us ... the kids will have to move into a tent!

cooncreekers

Suezyquegrrr [:@] i KNOW we paid too much, but we shelled out 13,000 for Miss Daisy.

EZCamper

SuezyqueWe bought our brand new Coleman Fairview 2000 right from the dealer. It was complete with all the options available plus all the space we wanted except for the A/C. Of course, we didn t thought that we would be changing our tow vehicle two years later ( to my own satisfaction). We paid an honourable price of 8000 US. But it is worth much more to us now.

SuezyqueWe paid a whopping $50 for our Palomino Colt (I found it listed for sale on another board) but had to invest lots of time and some money to make it travel-worthy. We now have it up for sale and just bought a used TT for $1795 which doesn t need much work.  We wanted to buy a new Coleman pop-up this year but just couldn t work it in the budget.  The TT sleeps 7 so we have plenty of room now and still lots of windows.  (We found the TT on rvtraderonline.com)

mwh710

SuezyqueWith all the gadgets, $9,000.  Tooooo much.

Gone-Camping

mwh710I ve had 3 of them in the last 5 years...

1st was $700/74 Starcraft, used it once and then sold it (it had problems) [: (]

2nd was $200/78 Starcraft, used it for 3 years, good ol  camper!!![:)]

3rd (current) cost $6000/98 Coleman have it for 1 year now, but it s for sale now![;)]

Currently trying to buy new hybrid $12000/2003 Trail Cruiser (yes, I m loosing my mind!!!)  [8D]

GeneF

mwh710In 1995 we bought a Rockwood 1940 for around 4995.  Furnace and Fridge.

Was at a local mall and saw the new 1940 for 5895.  Supposed to be a mall special.

Mattresses looked thicker but the stove only had 2 burners where the old one had 3.

The linoleum on the floor was the same design as in the 95.

Other than the newer mattresses and the stove I didn t see any other differences.  Price without the mall special was pretty close to 7 grand which I thought was a bit high.

I guess we have to take into consideration that the newer ones cost more due to inflation over the years.

YellowXterra

mwh7101st camper off of Ebay on Feb 2002 for $1250 sold it in August 2002 for $1800 Bought new Chyenne in August for $8200

NCSunshine

mwh710Bought our 1st pop up for $2600 in 1998, used 1989 Sunlight had hard sides.  Sold in 2001 for $2,400.  Bought our 2001 Niagara in 2001 for $10,500, included AAR, camper caddie, vanity, a/c w/heat strips, sheet sets for kings, ABS tank and tire cover, wardrode rack, outside shower and stove, water heater and extra lights (did not have combos when we bought), also has tv/cable hook ups.

Don t know how much is standard, and don t know if we paid to much, but we love Jiffy regardless[:)]

Oh yeah forgot about the sway bar and brake controller that had to be added also.  Might not have been a bad deal after all.

LoveOurBayside

mwh710The " deal"  on our 2002 Bayside was $9,900.00 but then by the time we paid taxes,  added an awning, hitch and accompanying hardware, sway bar, and brake controller it was $11,613.

SuezyqueWell, being a family of 5 on a budget, we REALLY waited and shopped around.  We wanted a larger unit w/ air, a bath, heater, etc., but only had @ $2,500.[&:]  After looking for almost 2 years we found a Coleman  86 Plantation Series Savannah.  17"  long unopened, w/ a TRUE bath-eats some living space, and is a little more to put up, but well worth it.  Has air, furnace, stove w/ oven and is really in good/sound condition.  We got it for 2,300.00, which is lower than than the NADA quote. [:D]

We will have to replace the canvas in a season or two, but we are really thrilled with it.  HUsband is a great fixer upper, so we should get many years of fun out of our little QEII as we call her, and no payment so we can afford to take her out camping!  Happy camping![;)]

Walliscott

SuezyqueOur first was a old starcraft 197???   which we paid 800.00   & one season later we replaced the canvas for about 600.00. We used this pop-up constantly for 5 years till last fall it fell apart.   Today we bought a new Jayco Eagle 14SO with all options except air for 8400.00 Happy Camping ....Scott

Cadeuses

mwh710Well Ok, lets see now.  I guess the best way to set this out, is to compare apples to apples.  Therefore I will convert all costs into US$.

We bought our 2002 Santa Fe for $7,942.76
For this we also received 2,404.80 dollars worth of options.

When you add it up in Canadian Dollars it looks like this:

2002 Santa Fe including $3,571.13 in options:  11,795.00

I think i got a really good deal on this trailer (our third).  Not sure if I will upgrade any time soon.  Time will tell.

 Have a great day!

Catonsville Camper

mwh710Well, I didn t spend the most, but a few of you are real shoppers!
2000 Coleman Mesa, two years old last fall, and it had never been used...$6,000.
For a newbie, I thought we d done alright.[:)]
