Our first camper was a 1999 Jayco Quest 10v (AC, awning, AAR, dorm ref.) that we bought in March of 2001 (used only 3 times) in new condition for $3200.  We sold it in August 2002 to a friend for $3000.  It was a great camper in every way, but we realized that the family was really enjoying camping and wanted a 12  PU with a dinette slide-out, a front storage trunk etc.....  After looking for 6 months or so, we bought a 2002 Rockwood 2576G (12  box with front sliding drawer storage compartment, AC, 3-way ref, Carefree awning, water heater, Suburban furnace, fantastic fan breeze, coiled mattresses, water pump and storage, built-in potty and shower, outside shower, 3 burner stove, loveseat, etc.....) It pretty much has everything that you can put in a PU camper from the dealer....... We bought it in October 2002 for $7800, which included installation of the brake controller.  The NADA Average was $10,800 or so at the time... and this one might as well have been new (mattresses were still in the plastic......).  Even though I might have paid a little more than others, I am very pleased and we will enjoy this camper for many many years.
