This is our FIRST PopUp, and my husband and I got it all set-up in less than 20 minutes today!!  Yesterday, on his first try (all of this in our driveway), it took about 40 minutes.  And we figured out the awning, after a few tries!

We just took the PopUp down together, too, and it took LESS THAN 20 MINUTES!  Including the awning!

We are excited about our first trip to Williamsburg soon, and we ll feel even better once we get the repairs done (just a couple things we found while setting up).

my4cutiesCongrats on the good time!!   That s quite a difference over setting up a tent and organizing everything, right?  But, (Oh they all hate it when I say " but" )  after you listen to all of us tell you about all the neat gadgets you should have, and how to use them, you ll find that you are going to get a little slower.   After all, it takes a little longer to get all those things unpacked or unloaded.  But, (again) just think of all the fun you ll have with all these new toys!  LOL

my4cutiesIt sounds like you are getting the setting up and down to a science.  Wait and see how fast you can do it, if it is raining.[:D]

my4cutiesYou don t really know what your best time is until you have to take it down in the pouring rain.

When we took our 8-week trip, we got fairly good at setting up and taking down.  Adter doing so 5-6 times, we could do either in about 10-15 minutes (with five experienced people).  The next 20 or so setups, we didn t improve our time much.

But towards the end of the trip, we had one day at Indiana Dunes SP where we had to take down in the rain.  PJay and I told the kids to wait in the van.  We put dry clothes on the front seat for us.  And she & I got it down without the kids in about six (6) minutes.  We then went into the restrooms and changed to dry clothes for the day s driving.

my4cutiesWe could probably set-up in 20 to 30 minutes if we put our beers down (LOL)..... Your timing sounds about right.  Remember to make sure that you don t skimp on time and forget something like the bunk supports or the wheel chocks or something else important......  Now all you have to do is get out and go to a campground (with a notepad to write down all the things you needed but didn t bring)..... You got that right!! Or setting it UP when it s starting to rain. I guess my best personal time when trying to beat out the impending storm was 10-15 mins.
Of course I wasn t timing myself so these numbers COULD be a little inaccurate.
It is amazing how fast you can do things when you want to avoid getting soaked.
When we went to Westmoreland Park with the group a while back, it was a steady rain during take-down. I wore a raincoat. After finishing up and hooking up, you guessed it, it stopped raining. Life is full of little mysteries.
 Happy Camping!!

my4cutiesPopping up and down is the easy, fast part.  That takes us about 10 minutes.  It s all the little " necessities"  that we take along and have to unpack and set up that are time consuming![;)]
