RE: Back from our first trip of the season!

Well, we just made it back from our first trip of the season!  We stayed close to home, spending Friday & Saturday night at [link=http://www.popuptimes.com/members/tm.asp?m=17933&appid=&p=&mpage=1&key=&language=&tmode=&s=#17933]Little Bennett Regional Park[/link].
 
 It was a little wet Friday afternoon/evening but Saturday and Sunday were beautiful!  Great to get out and have a campfire.
 
 I hope everyone gets out camping soon.

I m SOOOOOO envious Tim. I hope you, Felica, and Natasha had a GREAT time. Our first trip is in two weeks and I can t wait!

AAHHHH the joys of a campfire! I made my first trip of the season this past week also. We had rain all day and night on Tuesday but the other days were wonderful!!

Yeah!  Camping season has officially begun for us down here!
 We went to Carlsbad Caverns and LOVED it!  Next trip in a couple of weeks--can t wait.

[] Not to rub it in but..... we just got back from our second camping trip of the year and will be going on our third trip on the 17th.  Life is good.[][]

I hope I can hang on for 15 more days!!!
 Then it s off to Myrtle beach for the Easter weekend. Spring Break for the kids and Mini vacation for us.
 This is the first time we have been away during Easter.
 We had to pray a lot about being away from our church.
 But I can worship the Risen SON at the beach too.
 Looking forward to a sunrise service on the beach..
 and a nice mini vacation..

We take off for Baja, Mexico in 7 days! Can t wait. We took the popup out of the garage the other day to clean it up, and of course the next day it snowed. [] We had a really mild winter this year, we could have used this storm in Febuary and March. It is supposed to clear up after the weekend, I have been out cleaning off the top every couple hours [] We won t let a little thing like a Spring snow storm keep us from camping, ha ha!!

We spent last week (6 nights in the popup, one at a historic B&B) in Savannah, GA.  The weather was great (sunshine, high 70 s day - 50 ish at night).  The azaleas, tulips, wisteria, dogwoods and Cherokee roses were all blooming.  We spent most of our days seeing the sights in Savannah, the historic district has beautiful small parks called " squares"  every couple of blocks.  It s a great walking scale city.  We really had a hard time leaving.
 
 We stayed at Skidaway Island State Park - beautiful large sites, not even close to full.   The boardwalk trails in the swamp areas along the Skidaway River were very nice, but the amount of wildlife was much less than we had seen in the Everglades or at Corkscrew Swamp in FL.  
 
 This was the first long trip in our pop up, and we loved it.  We stopped over night with family in NC coming and going from Bethesda, MD. Got 17 mpg this trip.

Thanks Tracy.  We just got our cable modem yesterday, so I should be able to check in and participate more often.  Our phone connection was soooo slow and DS and DH spend a lot of time on the computer.
