NashWell, I ve been there.  Can t help you much from a camping perspective, but my wife tells me that one Civil War fortification looks like another...she should know, she s been to most all of them with me...

It will be hot and muggy.

 NashPosted in the campground review.

Here is a link to Doug s/Giffster report from Ft. Pickens.

I think this is the link (if not look back 180 days and it should be there).

NashWas there about 1 1/2 years ago to take a look.  We were on one of our " road trips"  and didn t camp.  Stayed at the Hampton Inn on the beach.

Found the park to be nice if not outstanding.  Not sure if the sites had even as much as  30 amps power supply.  You may want to check.  Camping area is very open with only fair shade.  It is protected by sand dunes.  You should be very warm if there on the 4th.

Fort was very interesting.  Spent a couple hours just going through it and could have spent a lot more.

All the Gulf side beaches I saw were beutiful.  Will be going back that way just for that.

Don t miss the museum at NAS Pensacola.  Figure at least a half day for that alone.  The lighthouse is also worth a look.

Hope this helps.  Have a great trip.
