RE: DING-KING!

Has anyone bought and used this thing called " The Ding King"  It is a 3 point dent remover. Somehow it mounts on your car using suction and the middle cup pulls the dent out? I saw one in BJ s for $20.00. Do they work? Has anyone tried it?

 Just saw an ad on TV for a similar product.   $19.95 plus shipping BUT youi get a free glue gun with it, $40 value.
 
 They sure made it look like it was easy to use but the quality didn t look all that great.
 
 Oh, and you got some stuff that would cover up scratches and the color didn t matter.
 
 Okay, so why do you need this type of product?[]

    I bought one this fall for my car, my DH kissed the front fender with the basketball pole.  I thought it was well made and of good quality.  I first used a plunger to bring out the dent, didn t do that good of a job, and followed up with the Ding King.  It was easy to use and I think that it did a fairly good job of dent removal.  I am planning on using it again to even out some of the areas that are still a little dented.  It must be used in warm weather, so I have been waiting a while to finish up the project.  All in all, it did a passable job on this dent, so I think it was worth it.  It is very easy to use and was very strong.  Good luck.[8D][8D][8D]

You would likely be better off using the $20.00 to start a campfire[].  In my experience, most of that " As Seen on TV"  stuff is just useless junk.  Most dents in metal do not just " pop back out"  as nicely as they show on those commercials.

Our local TV station just did a short consumer beware bit on the Ding King.  The consensus was to save your money.  It only partially removed some of the dents they tried it on and made several others worse.

Gee Rick, that Ding King isn t getting the best of reviews.

I used Dent-A-Way on my 4 week old truck, when it got $2200 worth of hail damage. They charged me $600, and you can t tell. Give  em a call. May be called Dent Doctors or whatever in your area. But paintless dent removal. Works for small door dings and dents.

And you are correct " most"  dents don t. I bought the Ding King at Walmart for $9.99 and it worked pretty well. I had bought a used car with a dent on the fender and although it did not entirely remove the dent it did remove about 95%. I had no luck at all with the little dings but better luck with the actual dents.
