We didn t actually camp, but we rented a cabin at Clear Creek State Park.  It was great!  There was no one there and it was beautiful.  I will post pictures on my site soon.  We re not brave enough to pop-up in this weather!

If you are planning a trip to a cabin this winter, make sure you ask about the heat in the cabins.  A lot of the " rustic"  cabins do not have good heat, if any at all.  If you get the " modern"  cabins - they seem to all have gas or electric heat.  If you are planning a trip to Clear Creek, I can tell you which ones not to rent, just let me know.
We had a bad experience[:@]... the cabin only got up to about 40 degrees all night!!  It was not a pleasant experience.  Also, I know if you don t ask about it when you make the reservation - they don t bother to tell you...

Zooey[color=3336666]wow...thanx for that tidbit there...although i wouldn t mind 40 degrees at night, but would like it warmer during the day.

ZooeyThe Indian Cabins at Cook Forest State Park all have very good heat at least all but the first 2 which have a fireplace (the people there seem to spend a lot of time chopping), even the bathrooms which they are in the process of remodeling.  The Indian Cabins only hold 4 people and I don t know about the heat in the larger ones[:)].
