I can t believe that I actually camped in the snow.  Last Saturday I went up to my seasonal site with Foxyladies and put up my screen house not knowing we were supposed to be getting 10-12 inches of snow.  Well, when I found that out, I called the CG and asked them if I could stay in my camper that night to make sure that the snow did not destroy my awning.  Well low and behold we didn t get that much snow but it was kind of neat being alone at the CG with my dog in the snow.  I am glad to say that my awning did survive, but it has definitely gotten me in the mood to go camping!  Only one more week before I can finally start going every weekend again.[:)][8D]

Ernhrts3n8Yeah, the snow didn t start until after dark here.  Did you build a campfire?  Would yu be interested in meeting up with some other New Englanders for a trip?  We re trying to hook up with Pjay and Austin for a trip maybe to Camp n Canoe also known as www.woodlandacres.com, or maybe in southern VT?  E-mail me and let me know!

Ernhrts3n8We camped in the snow too this week.  My husband chickened out of camping on Lake Michigan knowing that they would probably have a foot for every three inches we would have.  We left Sunday after church and had a campfire during the afternoon.  It began to snow late Sunday night and we woke up to about four inches.  There were only five other campsites occupied, one by a tent and one other by another PU.  It was lovely walking with the big snowflakes falling down Monday morning.  We had a little ice on top of the snow but it was nice enough to have a campfire again Tuesday afternoon with about six inches of snow on the ground.  We had to come home yesterday and today the snow is gone and it is warming up.
We cleaned the snow off the awning as soon as we got up but the weight did not seem to be too much for it.
With the temperature under twenty at night we were glad to have an electric blanket.

Ernhrts3n8We were the only ones at a PA state park one night when it snowed.  It was beautyful.
