Ok... all you taller people can help! Last year, we purchased the WalMart special - adult sized sleeping bags. I cannot remember the brand right off, but we did get two single sleeping bags that would zip together (so the wife and i could snuggle) [:D]. Enough of that! Ok, the problem is... we need two bigger sleeping bags that will zip together. I am 6  3"  tall approximately 250lbs. and would like a little extra space. Hey guys... don t even think it! We are not a couple of butterballs! Just larger folks trying to squeeze into a smaller space. [:D]

Where can i get a good quality sleeping bag a little larger than the norm? Also, the wife wants a " flannel"  type material on the outside OR anything other than nylon. Do they even make a bag like that?

Is this my first post? It is great to be back!

It s a double sleeping bag.  They have a wide selection of others as well.

We bought two of this one a couple of years ago:

They are cotton twill on the outside and flannel inside and we " large" .  I m 6 1" , around 205 and fit just fine with plenty of footroom.  They are amazingly warm with plenty of " cuddle"  room.

I like these! Sometimes, the wife does not attend the camping trips. I don t want to sleep single in a double sleeping bag...

Thanks for the tip! We will definately look into these!

jonathanDid you check eBay at all ? Maybe I can buy them cheaper for you in Canada and ship them out or something ? I will do anything to help you with the purchase , our cheaper dollar should help .....

jonathanIt is a  pain making the bed but we use sheets and blankets just like we do at home.  We even have an electric blanket.
With the sleeping bags we were so often too warm that we decided not to use them,

garym053

jonathanI believe I ordered mine on line from J.C. Penney! They are called Van Bags. They have a flannel lining and when zipped together will fit on the queen bed in our Jayco. I will check the site or the bags and see if I can find a stock number for you!

garym053

jonathanWell, no luck! I just checked J.C. Penney s site and all they list now is one flannel lined sleeping bag- dimensions- 33 x 75. I ll dig ours out of storage and see who makes them as they fit me well and I m 6 3"  and near 250 as well!

jonathanI believe the Sportsmans Guide catalog has them also. I havn t gotten a new one for a while so I am not sure. You could check their web site.

jonathanWal-Mart carries the Coleman line of sleeping bags.  They make a King size bag and you can zip 2 of them together.  They cost $40 each.

birol

jonathanJonathan, I will check our Wallmart for them, I am sure you would save big bucks if they were bought here  ........
