Are the profiles supposed to be viewable to all the guests?
  I was just logged on as a guest and was able to click on the poster listed in the main menu and brought up their profile. This makes our info available to non members, and spammers.

If you post in a forum open to the public like the club forums, then yes your profie will be available.
 
 But they do not see your e-mail (unless you have copied it into your signature), nor can they click on the e-mail link to send you one.  You should be safe from spammers.
 
 Remember, you are on the internet, so if there is anything you want to keep private, don t post it in profile.

 I am aware of all that. Exactly the reason I use an excite address, just though maybe there was a glitch in the software that made member info available to non members.
 Guess it is the way it s supposed to be.

The only thing " available"  is what you add to your profile.  
 
 The e-mail is never available to non members (and members have to " work"  to get it) so the e-mail you use should not be a worry.  Additionally, you can turn " off"  the ability for people to send you e-mails through the forum.
