My neighbor backed a Coleman Brandywine into his driveway today.  Seems like he got a great deal on it - free.  We have looked and can not find the year manufactured on it.  When were the Brandywines made?  From what I can tell in doing research they started in 1973 (I may be wrong).  Also does anyone have any idea of how to tell when it was manufactured.  It looks in fairly decent shape for being around 25 years old!

In looking at it and then looking at my 2002 Coleman Westlake all can say is, Popups have come a long way and yet they are still the same!

 Preacher,

I see your neighbor got my favorite type of deal[:D] Get the VIN number off the frame and contact a Coleman dealer or Fleetwood/Coleman and they should be able to tell you what year it is. I am a jealous he has one of the " true"  Coleman s built before Fleetwood started " improving"  the units[: (]

PreacherBrandywine was a great series.  We had a  79 which was close to the end of that series.  They were a great camper and yes...still true Coleman s.  The aluminum front panel tended to really take a beating on gravel roads, we repainted ours twice.  Great towing trailers though.

PreacherI grew up in a Brandywine as well. Great, tough unit.

Who knows? Maybe that BW is one that one of us used at one time?

PreacherCan also tell you I like the neighbor s price better than mine.  We bought ours new in  79 and paid $2900.  Of course would buy 2 like it if I had the opportunity again today!
