I am planning on going to the spring Purdue football game which is being held in Fort Wayne this year due to the staduim renovation. Does anybody know of a nice place to camp nearby? The game is on Saturday.
  Thanks,

hbfc6John,  I live about fifteen miles from Fort Wayne and I have to tell you that you options are pretty limited.  Right in Fort Wayne is Johnny Appleseed park.  It is right next to the War Memorial Coliseum along Coliseum Blvd which is Hwy 930, use to be US 30 until the opened the bypass.  It is rather shaded, but noisy due to traffic and I would we wary of security.  North of Fort Wayne on I-69 at the 126 exit is the Auburn KOA.  Right next to the interstate and no shade, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep it is probably your best bet.  North of Fort Wayne just off of Coldwater Rd is Indian Springs Campground.  Lots of shade, losts of seasonal campers.  Somebody from this board stayed there last year for a soccor tournament i believe.  I never heard a trip report and even though I only live five minutes from Indian Springs I have never even drove though the place.  But again if you are just looking for a place to sleep it would probably be okay.  I am also told the fishing is good there.  About the only other choices are state parks.  Chain o  lakes at Albion is not much over a half hour out.  Ouabache at Bluffton is a very nice park, depending where in Fort Wayne the came is, I think at St. Francis, you ar looking at 45-60 minutes drive time.  Pokagon at Angola is real nice but you are looking at a little over an hour.
I do not see you listed as signed up for the GLPUC Rally at Gordon s in July, Are you not going to be able to make that one or are you using a different screen name on GLPUC?
Hope this helps if you need any other information do not hesitate to contact me.
