My grandson, 3 years old fell at school yesterday,(pre-pre school) and cut his mouth, bottom lip so that you could see through it. Seventeen stiches later he looked like a boxer. Wow! He must of stop his body with his face. Both his upper teeth and lower teeth went into the bottom lip.

whitestar505Ouch.  I hope he heals up fast! And that taking the stitches out is smooth and easy for him.

DS bit through his lip when he was about the same age  - he fell off a chair at the food court at the mall.  Must be the age. [&:]

whitestar505OUCH!!  Poor little guy!  The good thing about being small is that you heal so quickely.  We are no stranger to stiches here, either.  Both youngest DS cut the corner of thier eye (one hit the edge of the tub, the other hit the edge of a coffee table) Then one of them hit his nose on the corner of our van bumper (????) and got a pretter deep cut there too.  About 2"  long and started between his eyes and down across his whole nose.  [:(]  He still has a scar, but the good part was they used that special skin " superglue" , so the scarring is minimal.  There is no way I d have let them use stiches right there.  It has to be a smooth, dry are where they put it on though.  No eyes, eyelids, mouth, etc.

whitestar505Poor baby!  It sounds like he s a real trooper to have 17 stitches in his lip!  The girls will thinks his scar cool when he gets older--like Harrison Ford!  [;)]  Good thing God makes children so resilient!  I hope he heals quickly and that it doesn t hurt him too much.  [:)]
