 All,

BW is looking at non-breakable dishes for the camper. As it is now we are using the steel plated blue in color. She hates them. One thing for sure, they will not break. Sooooooo, what do you all use? I did look on the Coleman page and they had a Dinnerware set for $11.00 that she liked but they were red in color. I will add the were plastic also. Help Please?[:)]

whitestar505Go to Walmart.  They have plastic dishes with matching cups, mugs, utensils, and even margarita glasses on sale.  They come in a variety of colors.  I chose the pastel orange looking ones.

They re cheap, easy to clean, and we ve used them for 3 months now with absolutely NO problems.

 JemJen24JemJen24,

Been there and done that, We don t need a thirty five peice set . Would like to buy by the peice.

JemJen24, Bob, from PopUpGizmos has written me but, for some reason can not send back message to him. I have notified Steve about the problem. Need to know if he has another address? Last one was through popup times. Can you help?

whitestar505I m really surprised you couldn t buy single pieces at Wal-Mart.  Wal-Mart was my first thought too.  Target has some really nice things also.  Is she sure she really wants to do the dishes?  You can get some pretty heavy plastic disposible dishes that you can just toss!

whitestar505try the dollar stores thats where I bought all mine. I even got white so they aren t quite so tacky. I did however buy green wine glasses. Even though its probably not so safe I have got 2 regular coffee mugs in the PU somehoe coffee just doesn t taste right in plastic.  [8D]

whitestar505We ve been using Corelle dinnerware in our popup for 7 years.  Never had a chip, crack or a broken plate.  You can buy single pieces in WalMart or other places.  It s fairly lightweight, easy to pack (stack with foam sheets between them) and excellent for when you are eating something like steak or spaghetti.

Not all Walmarts are the same. We have one here but been told it is very small. Down the road about 15 mile is another twice the size. So yes they may have it but not at this store. The Corelle is what we were looking for, but for two only. Dogs have their own. [:D] Now to get solid yellow is another story. We are looking..

whitestar505I bought the 4/88 cents plates cups and bowls at Walmart for the popup for Donna and the Kids for the rally.  They are washable and reusable and if they get messed up...hey they re cheap (and thin) then they have the little more expensive more solid plates. That is what I have in the Bantam.
Take the drive up here, tax free, buy enough camping goodies and it pays for the toll.
If Aberdeen has a Dollar Tree send the wife up there (near I 95 isn t it??) most of my camper s tools and utensils are from Dollar tree.

whitestar505We went from plastic, to stainless steel to Corelle.

The plastic got (and stayed) greasy and got scratched by the knives too easily.

The stainless steel were nice, but they were heavy, expensive and not so nice looking.
I got plain white Corelle pieces from the outlets when I was in Lancaster, PA and now I m a happy camper! [:D]

We have certain places where we use paper goods and then other times/places I don t mind doing a few dishes after each meal.  Having the Corelle makes me feel like I m not roughing it too much.

whitestar505I ve seen the plastic type at Wal-Mart for 88 cents each.  They usually have more of this type in the summer (already out around here).  I use some of it at home and the lake house, especially love the huge bowl for popcorn.

whitestar505I use Corelle and love it.  Good luck in whatever you decide.
