I found a link to an " unofficial"  guide to Cedar Point for all the Cedar Point fans here.

They have forums, so I posted a question about the Campers Village.  What the regular " Point"  visiters thought about it.  I ll post the replys as they come in.  This is a pretty neat site with lots of information.

Starcraft DadThanks for thinking of us camping-coaster fans.  I " drool"  about the coasters in Cedar Point often!  One of these days, when my kids get to Roller Coaster age, we re doing a week vacation in Ohio for the roller coasters, Sea World and the " Amish"  areas.  I just hope my kids like roller coasters as much as I do -- unlike my husband who doesn t like anything that goes upside down (the chicken)!!  Starcraft DadHere are some responces thus far:

I have reservations for a full hookup site in the new section from 5/18-5/24. I ll post a trip reprt when I get back to give some more specifics. We stayed in a Lighthouse Point cottage last fall and spent some time checking out the campsites in anticipation of buying our pop-up this year. The sites in the older section have electric/water, while the newer sites have electric/water/sewer/cable. All sites are nice, but the new ones are top notch. Very clean.

I ve only stayed in the older section of Camper Village twice, but I think the facility is very nice. The sites are kinda small, but I don t spend much time there anyway. I really only go back to the site for meals or a midday rest. The new Lighthouse Point sites are nice, but lack the tree cover that the Camper Village sites have. In time the trees will grow, but it is rather sunny over there right now. The bathrooms are cleaned often, and the hot water in the showers actually works (unlike some campgrounds I have been too ) The price is somewhat high compared to other campgrounds I ve gone to, but the conveinence of being on the pennisula is worth it. I would often come back to the camper to eat lunch, which saves a lot of money with the price of drinks and food in the park. The other perk I like with Camper Village is that you get into the park earlier than the general public. If you have a season pass, it s even better because very few people who stay in the resorts have season passes. The line at the resort gate for season pass holders is usually very small compared to the general ticket line. Overall I would recommend staying at Camper Village. I also recommend you reserve you site before-hand because the campground fills up pretty quick, especially on weekends.

just to clarify that the older section of camper village has ELECTRIC hook up only there is no water sewer or cable... the only sites that have electric water sewer and cable are the new full hook ups ....

LOVED the times I spent at Camper Village. In June it can be a bit " buggy" , but, what the heck, you are camping! CP does it s best to make your stay enjoyable...wherever you stay.
