RE: help me plan a luau, please!!!!!!!!!!

well, dd#3 is gonna get married, yeah!!!! june 20th, it will be a small, intimate affair on a friday night at 7 p.m.  the reception on saturday, the next day will be a luau! we have already reserved the group camp at our beloved Lake Shelbyville, alas, its not coon creek. they don`t have a group camp, but, its next to it on the lake, so thats not too bad! here`s the ?- has anyone ever had a luau, or even been to one? [&:] i`ve seen pictures, and heard of the great fun involved, but i have no idea how to plan one, or even what is needed. we do have an idea of the food, hehehe, if you know me, THAT`S what i do, cook, so i know how to do all that. we have friends who raise pigs, and we are thinking of just getting 1/2 a hog, and using 1/2 of that and making it into bbq`s before the reception. transporting it in an electric roaster, we would then cook the rest on the grill at the site. grilled pineapples, coleslaw, beans and chips will be the menu. smoothies and margaritas will be the libations. after that, i`m at a loss!!! [] help!!!!!!!!ideas, i need ideas!!!!!!! friends, i need you.................

Definitely check out Oriental traders!  My BIL got my DD(age 3) a grass skirt and coconut top from there.  Way too cute!
