 Hi All,

As you can see I am not doing to good on getting answers on campgrounds these days. I know everyone is out camping but someone should have an idea.

I will ask today if anyone has stayed at the KOA in Hagerstown ? We are on site 41 looking over the creek. Has anyone been here ? Any tips for me.[:)]

 whitestar505Hi, Whitestar,

I did a review of this campsite a few weeks ago - it s on page 2.  It s one of our favorite campsites.  We ve gone there for Halloween three years in a row.  The first time we went there our first impression was that it looked a little run down, but we quickly found all sorts of little things we liked about it.  The creek sites are really pretty.  If I recall they are on the grass.  It s a very small campground but they always had lots of activities, including food and entertainment.  I don t know if they do everything off season, but every time we went they had pizza night on Friday where you could order pizzas delivered to your campsite.  They also had a nice Sunday breakfast.  About the only negative I can think of is that the sites are very close together, but I ve found that to be true at all the KOAs we stayed at.  But with KOAs also come a good store, very clean bathrooms, laundry facilities, etc.

As for tips, take it slow when you get off the interstate - the first turn comes up quick.  The way is well marked but some have had trouble finding it.  Don t cross the one way bridge or you ve gone the wrong way.  It s a long winding path back to the campground but that lends to the seclusion that enhances camping.

 Enjoy!

Thanks for the info.[:)] You may have written a review but did not see it. I have my system set for only two weeks.. This could be the reason, but sure hope they leave these reviews in the Campground Review Thread.

As for KOA, yes that is the only heartburn I have with KOA s is being to close together. Reminds me of living in the city. I am a three year club member. They got me on that one. Happy Camping!

Yes, someone was complaining on the general thread about the campground reviews being pretty sparse and someone brought up that you need to set your system for a longer time period to see all the reviews.

I did the one year membership last year and saved quite a bit of money since we camped at three different KOAs. Trying to decide whether to renew this year.  Will probably wait and see if we are going to go to another one or not since you can " buy"  them when you check in.
