Can anyone advise us of a nice campground in the Lake George area.  We will need electric since we plan to stay for 2 weeks and my kids can not survive without some form of television.

We would like to stay somewhere that is not to touristy but not to far to drive to some Lake Geaorge events.

Please let me know where you stayed and your impression of the area.

 Thank You

www.lakegeorgervpark.com is a large park near Lake George.
My friend with a large RV goes there every year for one week but I have never camped there.  I visited him once there, but did not have a PU yet so I didn t have my campground assesment eyes"  open.  Where he was the sites were fairly close together but long with a fire ring and some trees at the end of the site.  He was parked in the large RV section so I don t have any info about popup sites.  I know the park is pretty big with several loops.  He likes it for his big family and bigger RV.

spiritOne of our first pop-up trips was to Lake George RV park (see link in previous post).  We were there for a weekend in October.

The park was clean, restrooms clean.  The sites in our area (it is a large park) had a gravel pad.  They were fairly heavily treed and of a moderate size.

The campground has activities (at least on the weekend).  In October, it s too cold for swimming so I can t speak about the pool.  My DS (at the time about 9) enjoyed the playground.

I should add that when we had a problem late at night, the staff was not remarkably helpful.  But that may have been a one-time event.

If going back to the area, we would consider staying there again.
