and you need parts for it or even new canvas, try " Canvas Replacements"  located in Loyal, Wi.  I ended up calling around to 3 places before I found them while looking to purchase a main cable for my old camper.  The people there were extremely helpful and very VERY nice.

They will supply parts for 1960 s campers and on up.  They carry parts for most makes and models of campers (.....and they SPECIALIZE in older campers).  Not only did I get the part I needed, I got it the NEXT DAY (without even asking).

Being an owner of an older camper, I am used to being " shunned"  at a lot of newer dealers and was not here.  These guys are an older camper owner s best friend.....I can t say enough good things....they are AWESOME.

I just thought I d pass this along in case anyone else is in the process of fixing up an " oldie."   The number to contact them is 1-800-232-2079.  They also have a web site, but I don t know the address off hand....

HorscamprCanvas Replacements has been a supporter of Pop Up Times from the beginning.  They both advertise in the magazine and on the web at times.

I really like their history, as related on their web site:

QuoteOur History

 The Big Joke.

Our experience with popups actually began in 1954, when Clyde Grambsch designed and built a camper for use on family trips. He incorporated some unique features such as a screen door and steps (unusual on a tent camper in 1954).

When Clyde had the camper repainted to match his new  56 Ford, the painter (as a joke) printed " Mfg. by Loyal Trailer Co, Loyal, Wis."  under the taillight.

 A Big Response.

A few weeks after the Grambsch family s next camping trip, the Loyal Post Office began receiving inquiries addressed to Loyal Trailer Co. Clyde realized his innovations had a broad appeal, so in the fall of 1957, he began E-Z Kamper, Inc.

And Now We re the Biggest!

In 1973, Clyde incorporated Camper and Recreation, Inc., and a few years later, bought out his partners and shifted the company focus to supplying replacement canvas for older popup campers.

Today, Camper & Recreation, Inc. has grown to be the largest manufacturer and supplier of replacement canvas for the pop-up camper industry. Virtually every known brand is handled by Camper & Recreation back to the very earliest manufacturers of pop-up campers.

Camper and Recreation is now the exclusive manufacturer of the Universal Lift-Kit system for pop-ups and offers many products that enhance the camping experience, including a full line of awnings, seat cushions, and cleaning products to keep your canvas camper looking its best (and lasting longer, too!).
