Starcraft Dad

We here at the Webb house are so excited we can t stand it.  With the loss of our beloved Starcraft we thought it was going to be another tent camping season.  Well not any more.

We found a PU. It s not a Starcraft but a  92 Viking.  Has a 14 or 16 foot box (not sure). Comes with an awning and an AAR that has never been used, still in the sealed box.  No, hot water tank or furnace but we were tent campers so thats something we re not used to.  I can add them later. Has an ice box, no fidge (another thing we can add). A large 20 gallon fresh water tank and lots of storage cupboards and drawers.  The bunk and seat coverings look new and virtually unused.  Decorated in different  shades of blue and the exterior is blue and white vinyl canvas.  Sleeps 6 and has lots of room.  Best of all, they were only asking $1000 and it is in near perfect condition.  The owners bought a new TT and said they wanted to sell it at a inexpensive price so another family could love it and enjoy it as much as they did.

That would be my family.  I wanted to bring it home on sunday, but naturally I couldn t get the title transferred or get the plates so we pick it up wednesday evening.   It s not a Starcraft but I can love it just as much.  Our first maiden voyage will be a short hop from home as we are going to dry camp at Highland Recreation area over Memorial weekend.  Last minute reservations forced us to dry camp but who cares.  I m camping off of the ground.  I was so impressed with this family for the love and care that they gave to it.   The owner even said he was going to give it a good washing.  His way of saying goodbye.

Starcraft DadThanks Kelly, I also forgot to mention that he also threw in a brand new spare and rim plus another spare on the rim, electric heater, fire extinguisher and a few other extras.  I just could not pass this up.[;)]  Oh and I found out for sure the box is 16 foot 6 inches.

Starcraft DadI felt really bad for you when you lost your Starcraft.  I hope that this trailer makes up for it.  Enjoy it and happy camping.

Starcraft DadThat s GREAT!! What a deal, right place at the right time.
 Enjoy the Voyage .

How is camping over at Highland ?  I think Pontiac Rec had open spots yet, parts of it
aren t that bad for a campground in the city.

Starcraft Dad

Starcraft DadI m not sure about the campground at Highland.  I have never camped here. The park itself is very nice and Teeple Lake, although not a big lake,  is a pretty lake.  I ll give a report when we get back.  I got site 8 which seems to be a good size.  It will hold up to a 45 foot vehicle.  I believe it was something like 68 X 68 or pretty close to those dimensions.  There are only 30 sites.
